Kanaklata Mukherjee the Matriarch of a reputed business

Meanwhile Vishakha finds herself falling in love with

Story Line
The serial is based on Bimal Mitra's classic 'Eai Nara
Deha'. Bimal Mitra had a premonition that this would be
his last literary work. He had personally expressed the
desire that Mr. Rakesh Chowdhary should make a serial
based on this novel. In the story Mrs. Kanaklata Devi
Mukherjee is a matriarch and a scion of the Mukherjee
family. The beautiful brides from affluent families that
she sought for her two sons turned out to be arrogant
unruly daughters in laws. Later Kanaklata saw the death of
one of her sons and his wife in an air crash.
Today the other son is estranged. Kanaklata is taking
the entire responsibility of her grandson Saumya. After
two bitter experiences Kanaklata decides to prevent
further disintegration of the family. She selects and
grooms Vishakha a simple girl from a poor family to be her
future grand daughter in law. However the flamboyant and
arrogant Saumya is a total mismatch for a well brought up
girl like Vishakha. Meanwhile Vishakha finds herself drawn
towards Sandeep who is an employee in the Mukherjee's
business. Vishakha who is being groomed for the master of
the house finds herself falling in love with an employee.
Sandeep and Vishakha realise that they are made for each
other, yet they decide to sacrifice their love. Meanwhile
Vishakha's cousin Kamini begins to covet the wealth of the
Mukherjee family. She traps Saumya in a web of desire.
Sandeep does sacrifice after sacrifice to ensure
Vishakha's happiness.
The situations lead to a masterful roller coaster of
drama and emotion, which grips the audience thoroughly.
