Behind the scenes a very gripping family drama unfolds, like that in any other powerful family. Clashes of egos and bitter words lead to a deep divide that is unreconsileable at least for those who have created the divide. After some time, differences if opinion surface between the two brothers and Sumanraj decides to take compulsory retirement.

He settles down in far away Lucknow where later he breathes his last. On the 25th Anniversary celebration of the newspaper Yuvraj decided to forget the past and invites his mother and Anupama - the daughter of his late brother Sumanraj. After much persuasion Anupama and her grandmother agree to come to Bombay. Here Anupama's entire life transforms. Slowly she begins appreciating the family and decides to join the newspaper. She struggles and wins a place for herself in the working of her family newspaper. This is a story of a modern girl who believes in Indian ethos and value system. And the serial profiles her fight and her sacrifices. In the end she creates a new identity for herself.
